OUTDOOR PLANTS, POTS, TROUGHS AND CONTAINERS

Herbs and vegetables

One of the largest selections of culinary and medicinal herbs in the UK can be found in our herb garden selected for their flavour, aroma and colour. Every culinary plant is safe to eat, free from harmful chemicals and grown in peat free compost. Our herbs are grown by the leading herb nursery in the UK which provides us with a selection of over 300 varieties many of which are exciting new and unusual plants. During the spring and summer we have a great selection from 15 varieties of Basil, over 30 varieties of Lavender, 25 varieties of mint and over 30 varieties of thyme, mixed with oregano, fennel, garlic chives, marjoram, coriander, rocquette, sage, tarragon and many, many more - the selection is always changing.

Mature plants

Sometimes you just can't wait for a plant to grow to maturity - you want it pots troughs and containersbig - now! Well we can help with a wonderful selection of large plants and trees, huge bamboos, exciting palms over 2 - 3 metres tall, wisteria already 3 metres high, or large tree ferns with fronds large enough to stand under. Most of our mature plants are imported from Tuscany where they grow fast in the rich fertile soil, warmed by the Italian sun , but get very cold in the winter to ensure they are fully hardy in London. Just superb.

Pots, troughs and containers

We have an enormous range of containers from around the world - Italy, Tunisia, the UK, Vietnam, China, Turkey, Crete, Pakistan, France, Thailand and Malaysia! Materials used include terracotta and glazed terracotta, granite and zinc, ceramic and glass for indoor use, and of course wood (our recycled whiskey barrells smell delicious!). We always have price promotions throughout the year, many pots at half normal retail price! For roof gardeners where weight is of prime concern we also have a huge range of plastic containers, many of which look so much like weathered terracotta that it's hard to tell the difference!
